Introducing new ways of Creating Tables

We're thrilled to announce that the updated tables page is now accessible to everyone. This improved tables page comes with some great features. You can now create tables using the versatile options we recently added to the new home page. These options include making tables through conversations and easily uploading tables from your Excel files with just one click, all thanks to Copilot.

"Choose the option that fits your needs best"

The updated tables page experience offers several ways to start creating your table. You can choose one of these options as the main tiles on the tables page, and it will take you to the corresponding table creation process.

1.Describe the new table: This option lets you create new tables filled with sample data using generative AI conversation powered by Copilot. It's great for quickly generating tables with content.

2.Upload an Excel file: Selecting this option allows you to create a new table by simply uploading your Excel data. It's a convenient way to turn your existing Excel files into tables.

3.Start with a blank table:If you prefer to begin from scratch without any prepopulated data, this option lets you create a completely empty table.

4.Create a virtual table: This choice enables you to create a virtual table for specific needs or purposes.

Please note that Copilot capabilities are currently only available in the U.S. region, but they will soon be expanding to more regions.

If you're an advanced user and want more control over your table's metadata by configuring advanced properties, you can select "Set advanced properties." This will open the create table panel, allowing you to customize your table settings in detail.
